Semi circle & A-frame (push frame)

The Braun Semi circle is connected to the Moldboard with 1" steel pins at 4, 5, 6 or more points, depending on the snowplow model. This greater number of connecting points, or pins, is unique to Braun Snowplows! By using more reinforcing points across the snowplow frame, Braun Snowplows offer greater structural stability and strength than does the competition. This Braun design feature adds substantially to the life of the snowplow. The Semi Circle is reinforced 3/8", 1/2" or 5/8" thick steel and has boxed in, reinforced ends. It is available with or without 2 adjustable, 360° swiveling wheels with 3" shock springs.

Note: If caster wheels are added to Semi Circles from snowplows sized 9’ x 30" to 12’ x 36" and larger, add 200# to the total snowplow weight.

The Braun A-Frame is made of rugged, welded construction from steel angle iron and steel plate. The 1" thick steel plate mounting ends are either adjustable or straight in design and are made 21" center-to-center, or to customer’s specifications. The A-Frame mounts to the Lift Frame with 1 ¼" steel locking pins.

Lift Frame

Braun manufactures 3 sizes of Lift Frames:

The LF 33" (wt. 135#)	For light to medium duty snowplows manufactured of welded construction from 3/8" thick steel angle iron.
The LF 40" (wt. 225#)	For heavy-duty snowplows manufactured of welded construction.
The LF 48" (wt. 248#)	From 1/2" thick steel angle iron.

The Lift Frame mounts to the bumper and chassis respectively: with an angle mount at the top of the Lift Frame and with 2 push bars connected to the bottom of the Lift frame. Easy to install, the Braun Lift Frame is built to provide long lasting, maintenance-free service.

Stopper Bar

One feature unique to Braun snowplows since 1965, is the moldboard Stopper Bar. The moldboard center Stopper Bar is designed not to allow a full trip moldboard to trip or fall beyond a reasonable axis of 12". The Stopper Bar is not a spring actuated or controlled bar, but is a cam tripping device made from heavy flame cut steel and attached with extra heavy-duty pins. This is an outstanding feature of the Braun Snowplow product line and an important contributing factor to extending the life of the plow spring, not to mention lessening plow downtime due to bolt and pin attachment replacement.

All Braun Snowplow models can be fitted with the bottom trip design.
